Terms of Use
By using WorkbookDiff, you agree to use the service responsibly and to review its output before relying on it.
Supported scope
WorkbookDiff currently accepts two .xlsx files up to 20 MiB each. It compares supported cell values, formula expressions, worksheet presence and visibility, hidden rows and columns, and used-range changes.
Current limitations
WorkbookDiff does not support .xls, .xlsm, .xlsb, CSV, ODS, or password-protected workbooks. It does not compare formatting, charts, pivot tables, comments, named ranges, macros, formula recalculation, external-link resolution, author identity, timestamps, or reordered-row reconciliation.
Verification is your responsibility
Results can be incomplete or inaccurate for unsupported or unusual workbook features. You are responsible for verifying important differences against the original files. WorkbookDiff is not a forensic or compliance audit and should not be treated as professional accounting, legal, security, or regulatory advice.
Availability
The service is provided as is and may change, become unavailable, or contain errors. To the extent permitted by law, WorkbookDiff makes no guarantee that the service will meet every comparison need or detect every workbook change.
